Laya II by Fun factory
At FunFactory they describe themselves as “pioneers in playfulness”, which no one can argue with. We love their commitment to fun, non-realistic designs, as well as to sustainability. Their sustainable manufacturing facility in Germany gives them a really tiny CO2 footprint.
This vulva-shaped clitoral vibrator is another new favourite of ours. It fits perfectly around our tickly-bits, provides strong and satisfying vibrations, and requires minimum effort to hold for maximum pleasure.
It is rechargeable with a charging time of 4 to 6 hours and battery life between 40 and 120 minutes. You can choose to play with 4 speeds and 6 patterns. Laya II measures 10.5 cm (4.1’’) in length and 4.1 cm (1.6’’) in width and weighs 98 grams (0.035 oz). It is made from body-safe and hypoallergenic materials, a combination of silicone and ABS plastic, and is fully waterproof. It has a travel lock for buzz-free commutes. You can choose between three colours, pool blue, pink and violet.
Fun Factory calls it a “lay-on vibrator because you can just lay it on your vulva and get satisfying vibration everywhere you want it” and this is exactly how this toy works. Because it holds your vulva and pubic bone so neatly, you barely have to pay attention to holding it. You can simply casually place it in your palm and the toy will do the most. Some similarly small clit vibrators can be annoying to hold because there is such a small surface that you basically have to hold it with index, middle finger and thumb, which is a much less comfortable position. There is something about the shape and the strength of the vibrations that exceptionally make us come without having to add a lot of pressure - which is how we normally go about our clit business, as we’ve shared in our previous reviews.
We also love Laya II because it is super versatile. The vibrations can be felt throughout the entire toy. It can either give you a full-coverage of your clit and labia or pinpoints vibration. Each of us uses it in a different way. One rubs the centre of its curve up and down her clit, while the other one uses the last two centimetres (last inch) to move up and down her clit as well as her labia at the vaginal entrance.
When sex toys shops ask us to create a wish list of toys to review, we sometimes first pre-select a few and then read through what the other reviewers have written about it (it is really no fun reviewing a toy that does not tickle your fancy). This is how we noticed that there is a bit of a controversy about the quality of this toy that we feel we should address here. Some folks assuredly love it, while some complain about the vibrations not being powerful and rumbly enough. We would describe ourselves as vibration power queens, but we genuinely cannot complain about Laya II not being strong enough. The vibrations are perhaps not at the very end of the rumbly spector, but they are certainly powerful enough for our needs. It helps that Laya II is designed in a way that works really well for our anatomy. If you are considering getting one, think about other things than vibrations, for example the way the toy hugs your vulva and the way you have to hold it/rub yourself against it.
Laya II is such an adorable toy, especially in the baby blue colour. The buttons remind us of gemstones, especially as they light-up which is also convenient as it makes them easily identifiable in the dark. It screams high-quality and luxury, but in a unique and playful way. Many brands trying to convey luxury and quality follow LELO’s design (combining silicone with metallic elements). But FunFactory drums to the beat of their own drum and they do it wonderfully. They also combine a few materials, but they use silicone and transparent plastic, which are a bit quirkier and a bit more fun-looking. Their signature power button shows their attention to detail, as it has their logo engraved.
This cutie is both very powerful and quiet at the same time. We have not tried Laya I, so we cannot compare it to its predecessor, but this one is a keeper. We can strongly recommend it.
