Our Story

We embarked on this endeavor to provide sexy, sex-educated, lesbian-eye reviews of sex toys for those who can, can’t, or don’t want to visit sex shops. Some toys, like vibrators and dildos, are easier to choose in situ because we can see what they’re made of, their dimensions, their vibrating power, their softness, and if they work for us and get our money’s worth; on the other hand, if the toys are more innovative, like strapless straps and toys to be used during scissoring, practical information helps us choose wisely.

We’re particularly inspired by feminist-designed toys because they take our needs into account and take us to the Seventh, or even Eleventh Heaven, and there are, thankfully, increasingly more of these. Most everything has been designed by men: crash-test dummies are typically average-male body size, leading to women being more likely to get injured in car crashes; similarly, sex toys are overwhelmingly designed by men, with similarly detrimental effect. The RockHer vibrator is particularly impressive; we generally dislike phallic designs, unless they’re dual-density dildos that are soft but firm and warm up to the receiver’s body temperature.

We only test body-safe toys, which are luckily increasingly available; we’ve heard far too many stories of people with vaginas suffering from a burning sensation after using a dildo or vibrator. It’s a contradiction that something designed for sexual pleasure, literally burns our insides and kills our sex mood!

Until recently most sex toys were designed by heterosexual men imagining what people with vaginas do when intimate, and unsurprisingly they missed the mark; thankfully companies like WetForHer create toys that hit sweet spot. Reviews of such toys are sorely lacking, but we’re here to fill that gap. We love sexual pleasure, especially orgasms, their frequency and intensity, so we’re committed to experimenting and finding new ways to increase our pleasure.

We love to hear from you, so do reach out in the comments!

We are doing this on top of our full-time jobs, but we try to post every 3 to 4 weeks.
