Harnesses by The SpareParts Hardwear
The SpareParts Hardwear is an excellent brand producing top-quality handcrafted harnesses that offer fantastic support and last us a long time. We have been using their harnesses for over five years now and we keep recommending it to everyone looking for one.
They all come in cute packaging, with a thank you letter and an overview of their company goals. We’ll describe our experiences using their three harness models.
The harnesses are made with breathable and lightweight fabrics (77% nylon & 23% spandex) that are soft and comfortable to wear, the material is similar to swimsuits. All three models have elastic O'ring that fits dildos between 1.10 and 2.25 inches. The stretchy O’ring means a variety of toys can be inserted and removed with ease, including double dildos. With these models we can accommodate our thickest dills and we usually use them with Maverick.
Tomboi - This one is a hottie. We love the wide elastic with subtle tomboy embroidery on it as well as the two lines around the dildo ring, which simulate what used to be considered as typically male underwear. Besides, this model is also incredibly attractive because of its casualness. It literally is a tomboyish hot piece of underwear, which we can easily pull on, or already wear as underwear, strap it on and go to town on our partner. It has two pockets for the bullet vibrator above and below the O’ring, the first one is horizontal and the second one vertical.
It is hot, discrete and easy to take anywhere, as they pack just as they look, like underwear. The harness offers excellent support and feels comfortable to wear. It comes in black, black and red and black and blue. There is also a boxer option.
Even though all three models can accommodate the same size-range of dildos, we noticed that Tomboi needs a little bit more wiggling to fit in the ticket dills.
Joque - Another sexy garment, this two strap jockey style harness comes with two adjustable straps which once positioned in place, don’t need to be altered again. The harness can be easily slipped on and off. The wide elastic on top has hook-and-loop fastener together with two strap adjusters that offer additional support. The Joque leaves the wearer's ass accessible so if you are into anal play together with pleasuing another partner, this fab harness might be just for you.
There is only one con that we found out, it is that out of all three harnesses this one doesn’t feel so much like it is a part of our body, like there is a bit of a distance between us and dildo. That is, we feel, due to adjustable straps that go around the thighs, rather than around the ass. Nevertheless, this harness is still one of the best we have ever tried and provides enough support and control during the penetration and it doesn’t bother us much. On top of that, it is the only model that will allows us to spice up the game even further by anal penetration. If that is something you are looking for, this harness might be just the right one.
Theo -The Theo model is similar to the Joque except that instead of having two adjustable straps it has an adjustable thong strap. The thong can be adjusted using the snap fasteners and again there is a wide elastic on top with hook-and-loop fastener together with two strap adjusters. The thong also has a small easy to reach pocket where you could store some small item you might need during the play. It leaves accessible buttocks in case you and your partner are up for some grabbing.
The Theo harness feels the most massive out of all three models, in terms of fabric thickness. This was one of our first harnesses and we still use it regularly. It offers excellent support and we feel like it is part of our body, we can easily forget we are even wearing it during play.
Commonalities between the Tomboi, Joque, and Theo
Sizes: The Joque and Theo harnesses come in two sizes A and B, with B being the bigger one. While the Tomboi comes in regular clothing sizes from XS to 5XL. We both use the harnesses interchangeably and we normally wear different sizes of clothes, one wears S and the other one M/L. The Joque and Theo size A and the Tomboi size M fits us both perfectly.
Storage and cleaning: Although these harnesses are machine washable, we do not wash them in washing machines on a weekly basis. The reason is mainly that these are quite pricey and we want to extend their lifespan. We always wear underwear under the harness, which lowers the areas that get dirty and consequently requires less cleaning. On a daily basis, we first clean the dildo and dry it. Then, we take it out of the strap, and use antibacterial soap (link to our fav) to clean the rim and any other juicy bits. We always let it dry before storing to prevent any mold growth. We’d throw it in the washing machine every two month, or so. They all come with cute, compact storage bags.
Compatibility with other toys: All three models described above have pockets for a bullet vibrator, above and below the O’ring. Yet, we struggle with using the bullet in a meaningful way during play. It inevitably slips out of the direction at some point, and sooner or later that is bound to happen while the receiving partner is receiving pleasure that is not to be disturbed with dispositioning the garment. Like most boxer shorts, the backside of the bullet pocket is designed like a curtain which can accommodate a double dildo or vibrator. The curtain is a great feature as the base of the dildo won’t directly touch the pubic bone and give you accidental bikini wax. One of many thoughtful details of the SpareParts harnesses that make these products top tier.
