Rave 2 by We-Vibe

With Rave 2, We-Vibe is asking us to reconsider the use of dildos. Instead of using the toy with the good old “in and out" movement, this toy is designed to be used by twisting it left and right once inside. This unconventional method got our attention and we wanted to get testing. It required some getting used to, but we’ve learned that it is a great toy to explore your horniest ideas.
We like that most of their toys come with the We-Vibe app, and this one is no exception. If you prefer a somewhat lower-tech play, you can use the four buttons on the toy handle. Use the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the vibration intensity or to activate the travel lock, and two arrow buttons for switching the vibration patterns - we love that we can go back to the previous pattern easily.
In the App, there are ten system vibe patterns and you can also create your own - it requires some exploration as you have to design the pattern first in the app, and can only try it out after you have fully designed it. We’d prefer a more instantaneous way to test out the pattern we are designing. Not a fan of waiting when in the heat of the moment.
Rave 2 contains two separate motors, one is targeting the G-spot while the other stimulates the vaginal opening. It’s innovative to control two motors separately (see the picture above) - each motor can be regulated to different intensity and vibration patterns, leaving plenty of room for exploration and finding your flavor. The two motors are positioned so that the vibrating surface is large - more than half of the toy. This means that it can easily be used externally on the clit, or any other erogenous spots. We certainly enjoy getting in the mood by using it externally.
The toy also offers versatility, as it can be bent in the middle to adjust the angle of inserting part, forming an L shape. The bending functionality and the two motors technology is probably why this toy is one of the pricier ones - 139 Euros.
Rave 2 measures 21.7 cm (8.5”) in length with the insertable part measuring ~ 10 cm (4’’), ~ 3.5 cm (1.4”) in thickness in the insertable part, and ~ 3.9 cm (1.5’’) in the handle part. It is USB rechargeable with a charging time of 90 minutes and playtime of up to 120 minutes. It is waterproof, made from body-safe silicone, and free from phthalates and BPA or latex. The silicone is smooth and velvety and It comes in pink and blue colors.
The toy comes in a beautiful, sturdy cardboard box with a USB charging cable, storage pouch, quick start guide, and safety information.
Here comes the final verdict. The toy is perfect for long playing sessions as it left our G-spot very aroused and wanting more. Using it first externally is a great way to start and get us going. The vibration can go very strong and is transferred to the handle and subtly to the clitoris. The whole vagina is vibrating from a mix of more intense vibrations in the G-spot and more subtle ones in the vaginal opening, and a light sensation can be felt on the clit. Using the twisting motion on our G-spots got us extremely aroused. However, the motion wasn’t enough so we had to use “in-and-out movement” to take us to the finishing line. The only thing that we haven’t yet figured out is the benefit of the bending feature. Another thing we want to mention is that the toy is hard and doesn’t have squishiness to it. That is true for most of the vibrators out there that we have tried. We prefer softer toys and would love to see more toys with extra layers of soft silicone on the market.
