Clone-A-Willy Glow In The Dark Vibrator by Empire Labs

The Empire Labs started as a manufacturer of customized, body safe, skin-like materials for medical and prosthetic use. Fun trivia, their methods and materials were unique and they quickly grew in popularity which led to striking a deal with Hollywood to create life-like movie props and highly detailed body part castings. For one of the films they needed to create realistic penis replicas and that is how DIY Willy kits were born.

To make the very personalized glow in the dark vibrator product we had to follow a couple of steps which are well explained in the instructions received with the kit and this is their official video tutorial. The steps are not difficult to follow but we had to be fast and precise. The process altogether took around 24 hours; we first had to wait for the mold to dry for 2 hours and then for the silicone mixture for around 24 hours. There are couple of extra things we needed to keep at hands reach during the process: scissors, a marker, two disposable mixing bowls (one for molding mixture and one for silicone), something for stirring the molding powder, a small piece of cardboard and a timer.

We also needed something to clone as we were not cloning a male penis. Our initial idea was to clone a hand, however, unfortunately the provided tube was too narrow to fit our hands. The next best idea was fruits and vegetables. The issue with the kit is that our cloning item had to be straight, with as little curve as possible, and fairly narrow (imagine a medium sized banana). This provided fun moments of scouting for just the right shape and size of zucchinis and bananas in our local supermarkets. The wonderful thing is that we got to be creative and clone an object that turns us on, be it a corn cob, zucchini, cucumber, candle, perfume bottle, into a vibrator.

In short, the process consists of three main parts which are: preparing the mold and pouring it into the tube, inserting the object inside the tube, preparing and pouring the silicone into the mold. The steps are not complicated. However, it can be a bit stressful since we had to be fast while mixing and pouring the molding powder and precise with water temperature and placing the object into the tube. And it can be messy as the excess material will pour out of the tube when inserting the object and the vibrator. Another important thing is to place the object and the vibrator inside so it is not touching the sides of the tube otherwise it will look odd and potentially break quicker.

We love being crafty and have found the process is fun and exciting. We were looking forward to seeing the finished product, as we were to test it out, after days of getting wet searching for the perfectly shaped banana in our local supermarket.

Here is our final take on the product; the silicone is quite hard, and sticky, rather than velvety. However, it is odorless, which we appreciate and we think you may too. We were well-impressed by the detail on this vibrator. The mold nicely captured the lines, dots, dents and the overall shape of our sexy banana. The vibrations are quite powerful, but definitely on the buzzy, rather than rumbly side. Still, they are strong enough to deliver satisfactory outer clitoral fun. The bullet vibrator that goes into the mold is quite long, which means that a decent part of the final product vibrates. We are not fans of the vibrator being run on battery, as batteries are not very environmentally friendly and they tend to eventually oxidize and ruin the product.

The one piece of advice we’d have for the Empire labs is to provide a thicker tube and more molding and pouring material. That would enable us to get even more creative with the shapes and would also satisfy any potential size queens out there, as it would prevent the cloning item from touching the tube walls. This distorts the shape. Also, the bullet vibrator is touching the walls of our banana, and we fear that it might separate after a hot and heavy session. Therefore, we’ll keep ours as glow in the dark vibrating banana decor, which will hopefully make for a fab conversation starter. For a time lapse video of our process, check our IG.
