5 Things We Love About Being Sex Toys Connoisseurs

1) Pleasure product testing, our Covid-19 lockdown baby, has kept us blissfully occupied, excited and sane since entering the second lockdown; goodbye lockdown depression and anxiety-tinged days, hello multiple orgasms: we test each toy at least three times and use them as often as we can if they tickle our fancy. Sex toy testing is the perfect antidote to lockdown doldrums.

The first lockdown found us either working longer hours, or perfecting our cocktail mixology and drinking skills, but that changed on starting sex toy testing, apart from the latter. We love our jobs as data engineer and social scientist, but this, our newfound vocation, finds us more creative, sexually satisfied, wellbeing-enhanced.

The whole process, from talking to developers, waiting for arrival, unwrapping and testing is exciting, and only a little less so when the toys don’t please as much as we’d wished, and we like pleasure.

2) It’s brought us closer together as a couple. Just the two of us democratically making decisions is fun, from sex toy wish list creation to social media posting. Realizing we can spend every minute of the day together, just the two of us, is like being on a permanent engagement exctasy without actually getting engaged. Good times with our friends are cool, but lockdown pleasure product testing is better. We have deeper conversations about our sexual preferences and are more aware of what turns us on.

3) All the new toys! Being hedonists, we are driven to explore new routes on the pleasure highways and byways, especially “in the bedroom”, wherever that may be. We take great pride in our impressive collection of high-quality toys, all of which we couldn’t afford before starting Squirty Birdies; and the best thing about our new mind-blowing toys and resulting orgasms is that there’s always something more on the way. The sex toy industry has been impressively innovative in recent years, from air pulsation technology to its broader and deeper offer of toys designed for lesbian and queer couples, and it’s exciting to know that more’s coming.

4) Helping women have better orgasms. We are firm believers that good sex, solo or partnered, is for many an important ingredient in their happy lives. Sex education and research into female pleasure have only recently started to be taken seriously, so we are delighted when you, our lovely readers and followers, reach out and ask for our advice on what toys to get for yourselves, partners and friends. It’s an exciting process and we hope to hear more from more of you in the future.

5) Learning new skills. Running Squirty Birdies mansion calls for new skill acquisition, and Photoshopping cat hair, we have two, from sex toy photos is just one of them; it’s also learning how to engage our audience on social media, sexually educate ourselves, including further research into female pleasure, collaborate with sex toy manufacturers, and so much more.
